Installation and Implementation
NMS can provide support for IT staff or provide the services to install the following:
- SQL Server database – used to house the Dynamics GP data

- Integration Manager – used to import data into Dynamics GP

There are many variables when it comes to implementing the process to move from a legacy accounting application into Dynamics GP or to establish the business processes of a new business within Dynamics GP. Below is an example of the process.
- Determine the business processing and reporting needs.
- Determine which software applications will meet the business processing and reporting needs and will exist as a future application.
- Determine the data from the legacy system that will be imported into Dynamics GP.
- Determine the time frame the data will include. Example: the time frame will only include last year’s summary data or it will include the last 2 years’ summary data.
- Determine the financial reporting needs to design the chart of account structure.
- Export the company data from the legacy system.
- Format the company data from the legacy system to be imported into Dynamic GP modules. Example: prep the Vendor information to be imported into Dynamics GP Vendor Maintenance window. Then prep the open vendor invoices to be imported into the Dynamics GP Payable Transaction Entry window. Then prep the data to be imported into the Dynamics GP General Entry window. When the importing is complete, the Payable module will reconcile to the GL AP account amount.
- Setup Dynamics GP modules and system setting.
- Verify accuracy of all data.
- Train users on Dynamics GP functionality.
- Remain available for go-live support.
- Nurture the on-going, long-lasting Partner relationship.

Financial Software Consulting
FRx is the main financial reporting tool used with Dynamics GP. Its reporting power is dependent on the GP chart of account structure. With a properly structured Dynamics GP chart of accounts, FRx will generate reports that show Profit & Loss Statements per Location, Department, etc. FRx can also compare all the Locations’ Profit & Loss amounts to determine which Location is most profitable. The user can generate an FRx report that will drill down to the various Dynamics GP transactions that are part of the total amount. If the user has multiple companies, FRx can be used to generate Consolidate reports. The most common reports created within FRx are the Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Cash Flow Statement, and a Trial Balance. Other reports are designed to compare various aspects of the business. NMS can provide the guidance to set up the chart of account structure to give you reporting flexibility, build FRx reports, and train you to create your own reports.
